You’ll Have a Better Vacation in Albania Than Pitcairn Islands

Albania is a little but very adorable country in southern Europe, very close to Serbia. It’s quite possibly the least visited countries in Europe but that is slowly changing as more travellers notice its wonderful attractions. This country has gorgeous, sandy beaches, pristine mountain regions, and trendy, expanding cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are gorgeous. Albanian beaches are mainly white, sandy beaches although of course there are a dozen pebble beaches as well. You could if you like lie down in the warm sun on a mat or rent a sun bed, the option is up to you. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by visitors and some are so quiet that you could be at the beach without anyone else, even in spring and summer.

There are many fantastic mountain places in Albania. The mountains in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you can also visit a few waterfalls and clean lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in the north are exciting to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.

Albanian cities are very vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in many busy cafes to spend time in. Albania cities for example Durres are worth spending a few days in to visit the unusual old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are very warm and welcoming and will be pleased to show you their country if you spend some time there.
